The Maldives continues to attract the world’s most prestigious luxury brands, and soon a new name will join its turquoise waters – Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi.

Designed to redefine island sophistication, this upcoming property will mark the brand’s long-awaited debut in the Maldives and a remarkable addition to its growing global portfolio.

A New Chapter of Italian Elegance in the Indian Ocean

Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi

Set within the unspoiled Raa Atoll, Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi is expected to open its doors in 2026, introducing a refined interpretation of “barefoot luxury” infused with unmistakable Italian flair.

The name Ranfushi, which translates to “gold island,” already hints at the vision – a private sanctuary where design, nature, and heritage meet in perfect balance.

The project follows Bvlgari’s celebrated openings in destinations such as Paris, Tokyo, and Rome, marking the brand’s growing footprint across the world’s most exclusive locations.

What We Know So Far

Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi will occupy a 20-hectare private island surrounded by the pristine lagoons of Raa Atoll, accessible by a 45-minute seaplane journey from Velana International Airport.

The resort will feature 54 villas, including 33 beachfront sanctuaries and 20 overwater retreats, each designed to offer privacy, tranquility, and refined comfort.

At the heart of the property will be the Bvlgari Villa, set on its own exclusive island – an ultra-luxurious hideaway crafted for the most discerning guests.

Architecture and interiors are led by the renowned Italian firm ACPV Architects – Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, whose signature style blends contemporary elegance with local craftsmanship.

The design will celebrate the essence of Maldivian beauty while reflecting Bvlgari’s timeless sophistication.

Sustainability lies at the core of the project. The development plan includes protecting native flora and fauna, creating natural habitats for nesting birds, and integrating energy-efficient systems that minimize the resort’s environmental impact.

A Culinary Journey Curated by Masters

Dining will be one of Ranfushi’s highlights, following the brand’s global philosophy of culinary excellence. Guests can look forward to Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, helmed by the acclaimed Michelin-starred chef, who brings a contemporary vision of Italian cuisine to the Maldives.

In addition, the resort will feature Bao Li Xuan, offering refined Chinese gastronomy; Hōseki, a Japanese omakase experience inspired by the Bvlgari Resort Dubai; and La Spiaggia, a chic beachside restaurant serving light Mediterranean fare.

Together, these venues promise a world-class dining journey that reflects both global sophistication and local inspiration.
