Maxx Royal, the luxury hospitality brand behind a portfolio of acclaimed resorts in Türkiye, has officially announced its first resort in the Maldives.
Scheduled to open in autumn 2027, Maxx Royal Maldives will bring the brand’s signature hospitality philosophy to the Indian Ocean, introducing a boutique-scale island retreat in North Malé Atoll.
Designed around personalised service, contemporary architecture and an intimate atmosphere, the resort will become one of the newest luxury additions to the Maldives’ resort landscape.
An Intimate Island Retreat in North Malé Atoll
The Maxx Royal Maldives opening date is currently scheduled for autumn 2027. The Maxx Royal Maldives location has been confirmed as North Malé Atoll, placing the resort approximately 20 to 45 minutes from Velana International Airport by transfer. This offers guests the convenience of a short journey while maintaining the privacy of a secluded island setting.
Unlike many larger Maldivian resorts, Maxx Royal Maldives will feature just 41 villas and residences, creating an exclusive and intimate atmosphere. Accommodation will include both beach and overwater villas, with many offering private pools, generous outdoor living spaces and direct access to the beach or lagoon.
The resort’s architecture will combine contemporary design with natural materials and spacious indoor-outdoor layouts, allowing the surrounding island landscape to remain at the centre of the guest experience.
Signature Hospitality and the Maxx All Concept
Hospitality has long been central to the Maxx Royal brand, and Maxx Royal Maldives will continue this philosophy through its Maxx Assistant service, enabling guests to personalise elements of their stay before arrival.
Selected accommodations on the resort’s most exclusive island will also feature the Kiaya butler service, offering an additional level of personalised attention throughout each stay.
The resort will introduce the brand’s Maxx All premium all-inclusive concept to the Maldives. According to the announcement, guests can expect a collection of dining venues, a spa, an outdoor swimming pool and thoughtfully designed social spaces, all reflecting the brand’s contemporary approach to luxury hospitality.
