JOALI Maldives and JOALI BEING are set to welcome English football legend Fara Williams this April, bringing a series of inspiring football-led experiences to the Maldives.
Taking place in Raa Atoll, the collaboration will see a curated programme of activities for both resort guests and the local community, blending sport, empowerment, and meaningful connection.
About Fara Williams
Fara Williams remains one of the most decorated players in English football history, with 172 international caps for the England Women’s National Team—making her the most capped player across both men’s and women’s football.
Her career includes playing for leading clubs such as Chelsea and Charlton Athletic, as well as captaining Everton to major victories.
Giving Back to the Community
At the heart of the programme is a meaningful community initiative taking place on 11 April, where Williams will host a football workshop for girls from a local island.
Rooted in the growing presence of women’s football in the Maldives, the session aims to inspire young participants while encouraging greater inclusion in sport.
The initiative reflects JOALI’s ongoing commitment to the communities of Raa Atoll, while aligning with Williams’ legacy as a pioneer for women in football.
Football Experiences for Guests
Guests at both JOALI Maldives and JOALI BEING will also have the opportunity to take part in exclusive football workshops led by Williams.
These sessions will take place on 13 April at JOALI Maldives and on 17 April at JOALI BEING, offering an engaging experience for guests of all ages.
Designed with families in mind, the workshops invite participants to connect through sport—whether learning new skills or simply sharing time together in a unique island setting.
