Dine on a health-conscious plant-based menu designed by the innovative raw food chef Diana Von Cranach, showcasing unique and simple dishes that revive historical, nearly-forgotten traditional recipes from the Indonesian Spice Islands and South East Asia.

Ninety percent of the ingredients come freshly picked from Soneva Jani’s organic garden and most dishes will be raw. Expect some unusual ingredients, as well as healing herbs and botanics.

SO PRIMITIVE

Gather together for a dining experience that brings the element of fire to the fore. So Primitive’s centrepiece is a fire pit where different cooking techniques are honoured. Think roasting, grilling, searing and cooking in a kettle, clay pots (on coals), salt-crusted baking and cooking over coals. Choose from a menu that features fresh seafood, meats, and plant-based dishes.

THE GATHERING BAR

NORTH ISLAND

Tucked away on the North Island, this spot is perfect for swimming, snorkelling and time in the sun. Enjoy a pop-up dinner of Maldivian delicacies on the private beach, prepared using what the chef caught or picked earlier that day.

SONEVA SOUL AT SONEVA JANI

Soneva Soul spans two facilities at Soneva Jani – the original Over-water Spa and a new Island Spa. Both are designed to exist in perfect harmony with their stunning natural settings and provide an inspiring backdrop for transformative wellness experiences.

In addition, Soneva Jani has a jungle gym, aquatic gym and beach fitness area for exercising in nature, and open-air Ayurvedic and treatment champas.

The Soneva experience begins when you arrive at at Velana International Airport in Malé. You will be greeted by a Soneva Representative holding a ‘Soneva’ sign, who will assist you with your local transfers.

There are two ways to reach Soneva Jani from Malé – a 45-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport direct to Soneva Jani or a domestic flight from Velana International Airport to Maafaru International Airport in the Noonu Atoll, followed by a 15-minute speedboat ride to Soneva Jani.
