This Halloween, Velaa Private Island is stepping into the shadows with The Velaa Vampire Chronicles, a week-long celebration transforming the Maldivian private island into a world of midnight mystery.
Taking place from 25 October to 1 November 2026, the programme brings together immersive adventures, live entertainment, family activities and a Halloween Gala Dinner, creating a very different side of island life after dark.
A Vampire Halloween at Velaa Private Island
As twilight falls, the atmosphere at Velaa takes a darker turn. The Halloween programme unfolds across the island through a series of experiences inspired by the mysterious world of vampires, from hidden lairs to haunting rides.
The Vampire’s Lair Escape Room, taking place on 26–27, 29–30 October and 1 November, invites guests into the Count’s hidden realm to follow clues, uncover secrets and find their way out before darkness takes over.
The adventure continues with The Scary Train Ride on 29–30 October and 1 November, taking brave guests on a journey through the shadows, with vampires waiting around every corner.
Music, Dance and The Immortals’ Stage
Halloween at Velaa is not only about scares. On 28 October, The Immortals’ Stage brings Charly’s Angels to the island for an evening of music, dance and live entertainment.
The performance adds a theatrical dimension to The Velaa Vampire Chronicles, turning an evening on the island into part of the wider Halloween story.
Halloween Gala Dinner Beneath the Maldivian Sky
The celebrations reach their peak on 31 October with The Halloween Gala Dinner. Guests are invited to embrace the occasion in their finest gothic attire for an evening of exceptional dining and captivating performances beneath the moonlit Maldivian sky.
It is a distinctly Velaa interpretation of Halloween — atmospheric and theatrical, while remaining rooted in the refined dining and personalised experiences for which the private island is known.
Little Vampires Join the Adventure
Younger guests have their own chapter of the story with Tokey & Friends: Little Vampires, running throughout the programme from 25 October to 1 November.
Tokey and his friends take on their Halloween alter egos for themed games, spooky crafts and plenty of surprises, ensuring younger travellers can join the celebrations in a playful, family-friendly way.
