Velaa Kids’ Week Returns with Sharky & George and Tobias Becs
Taking place from 3 to 9 August 2026, Velaa Kids’ Week once again partners with the renowned Sharky & George, the London-based children’s entertainment specialists known for creating imaginative outdoor adventures and team challenges.
Throughout the week, young guests will enjoy a programme designed to encourage creativity, confidence and friendship through island-inspired games, exploration and interactive activities within Velaa’s natural surroundings.
Adding a sporting highlight to this year’s programme is Tobias Becs, world champion freestyle footballer. During exclusive sessions, Tobias will introduce children to freestyle football through demonstrations and hands-on workshops, inspiring young guests to develop new skills while enjoying the spirit of the game in a relaxed island setting.

A Vampire-Themed Halloween on a Private Island
From 25 October to 1 November 2026, Velaa transforms into a mysterious world inspired by classic vampire tales.
Returning for another year is the popular Haunted Velaa Escape Room, where guests can solve puzzles and uncover hidden clues as they navigate an immersive Halloween storyline.
Younger guests will find plenty to enjoy at Lha Velaa Kids Club, including:

Tavaru Introduces a New Nikkei Teppanyaki Experience
One of Velaa’s signature restaurants, Tavaru, has introduced a refreshed dining concept centred around Nikkei cuisine—the celebrated fusion of Japanese techniques and Peruvian flavours.
Rather than offering a fixed menu, the new concept allows guests to personalise their Teppanyaki experience by curating dishes according to their own preferences. Seasonal ingredients remain at the heart of every menu, prepared live by skilled chefs in front of guests, showcasing precision, craftsmanship and exceptional produce.
