Academy Award-nominated actress and humanitarian Rosamund Pike will headline the second edition of the Fari Islands Festival, taking place from 13 to 15 August 2026 across Patina Maldives, Fari Islands and The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands.
Returning after a successful debut, the festival brings together leading voices from the worlds of art, music, gastronomy, wellbeing and conservation for three days of immersive experiences set within the Fari Islands archipelago. Designed around meaningful connection, creativity and cultural exchange, the event offers guests an opportunity to engage with inspiring personalities and ideas while experiencing one of the Maldives’ most innovative island destinations.
Rosamund Pike Leads the 2026 Festival Programme
Known for acclaimed performances across film, television and theatre, Rosamund Pike brings a unique perspective to this year’s festival through her work as both an actress and humanitarian.
Her participation reflects the festival’s focus on thoughtful conversations, creative discovery and authentic human connection.
Speaking about the event, Pike shared:
“The festival will allow guests to open their minds to new people and experiences, disconnect from the digital world, and enjoy a space of insight, interest, connection, and a freedom to be. All we ask is for you to show up.”
As headline guest, Pike will help shape a programme that encourages guests to slow down, engage with new perspectives and embrace experiences that extend beyond traditional luxury travel.

A Festival Built Around Creativity, Culture and Connection
Spanning two resorts and multiple disciplines, the Fari Islands Festival has established itself as a distinctive cultural gathering in the Maldives.
This year’s programme unfolds across a series of interconnected pillars designed to engage every sense.

Creative Artistry
Joining the festival is globally recognised designer and creative visionary Sean Wotherspoon, celebrated for his influential work in fashion and design.
Wotherspoon will create a collaborative art installation during the festival and design the official festival merchandise, inviting guests to become part of the creative process while exploring themes of community and self-expression.
Sonic Immersion
Music forms an integral part of the festival atmosphere, from curated DJ sessions to intimate live performances.
French musician and composer Sebastian Tellier will headline the music programme, bringing his distinctive artistic style to the islands before closing the festival with a live piano performance.
Culinary Exploration
The culinary programme showcases an impressive collection of international talent and collaborations.
Guests can look forward to experiences featuring WAGYUMAFIA, Michelin-starred Chef Samuel Lee of Parisian neo-bistrot SENsation, Asia’s No. 5-ranked Dry Wave Cocktail Studio in collaboration with Michter’s, and Sei Bellissimi, official sponsor of The World’s 50 Best Hotels.
Together, these partners create dining experiences that blend culture, storytelling and exceptional craftsmanship.

Body, Mind and Soul
Wellbeing remains central to the festival experience through collaborations with Noble Panacea and Bamford.
A carefully curated programme of wellness experiences encourages guests to reconnect with themselves through mindful practices, restorative rituals and moments of reflection woven naturally throughout the three-day event.
Nature Amplified
The natural environment of the Maldives remains a defining part of the festival’s identity.
Through a partnership with the Olive Ridley Project, guests will have opportunities to engage with marine conservation initiatives and educational experiences that deepen their understanding of the region’s unique ecosystems.
These conservation-led encounters provide meaningful connections with the ocean while highlighting the importance of protecting the Maldives’ marine environment for future generations.
Across Patina Maldives and The Ritz-Carlton Maldives
One of the festival’s defining features is its setting across both Patina Maldives, Fari Islands and The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands.
This dual-resort format allows guests to move seamlessly between experiences, venues and communities while discovering the distinctive character of each property.
The result is a festival environment that feels both intimate and expansive, combining world-class hospitality with a dynamic programme of cultural experiences.
