Soneva has announced the launch of Bare Luxury, an evolution of the philosophy that has shaped the brand since it introduced Barefoot Luxury with the opening of its first resort in 1995.
The resort group behind Soneva Fushi, Soneva Jani and Soneva Secret describes Bare Luxury as a distillation of its founding vision rather than a reinvention — the result of three decades of listening, refining and editing what matters most to its guests.
At its core, Bare Luxury is centred on the deliberate removal of everything that does not serve a purpose, creating space for what Soneva calls “Just What Matters”: nature, joy, presence and connection.

According to Soneva, the introduction of Bare Luxury comes at a time when travellers are increasingly seeking conscious, intentional and immersive experiences grounded in purpose, connection and wellbeing.

The launch is accompanied by a refined visual identity, including the new Soluna monogram, derived from the Latin words Solis (sun) and Lunae (moon), symbolising wholeness.
Beyond the visual identity, Bare Luxury is intended to guide decisions across the guest experience — from villa design that supports wellbeing to restaurant concepts that encourage play and menus shaped by ingredients grown in Soneva’s gardens.
