Soneva Academy’s Summer Camps

In July and August, Soneva Academy‘s bespoke four-day summer camps in the Maldives are designed for young guests aged 9-13.

They can embark on a learning experience like no other led by experts in their field, where each day presents an immersive exploration of the Maldives’ natural wonders and the sustainability projects on and around the islands.

From snorkelling with a Marine Biologist and discovering the secrets of the galaxy with the Astronomer to meeting with local students from neighbouring islands.

Designed by the team of experts at the Soneva Academy, the bespoke programme promotes experiential learning and crafted play to instil a sense of passion, purpose and oneness with nature. The programme also includes yoga and meditation on the beach, cooking classes using organic ingredients, interactive lessons around coral protection, sea turtle rehabilitation, survival games and more.  

Introducing AquaTerra at Soneva Fushi

An invitation to discovery and exploration for the whole family,  Soneva Fushi is introducing AquaTerra. This new state-of the-art conservation, education and science centre is where sustainability, cutting-edge research and rare experiences converge to inspire eco-conscious exploration.

With a name inspired by Soneva Fushi’s exceptional natural setting, the AquaTerra centre is a hub for conservation efforts and aims to educate guests about the local ecosystem through a range of inspirational experiences, and host cutting-edge scientific research.  

An Exploration of Plant-Based Innovation

When it comes to culinary discoveries, Soneva invites guest to embark on an innovative food journey in the Maldives.

Soneva Fushi is presenting an exploration of Plant-Based Innovation at Shades of Green, where renowned Danish chef Carsten Kyster has created a new, entirely plant-based menu designed to ignite the senses. 

Guests can also discover the rich flavours of Asia, from Chinese stir-fries and classic Thai street food to Indonesian delights, at Soneva Jani‘s latest culinary offering, Asian Kitchen.  

What’s On

Taking diners on a new culinary adventure, Soneva Fushi and Soneva Jani will be hosting two renowned chefs this summer.

Chef-owner of Denmark’s two-Michelin-starred Frederikshøj, Wassim Hallal will be visiting Soneva resorts in the Maldives from June 23 to July 4, 2023 to take guests on a sensory journey in refinement without a horizon.

Following the seasons, he creates technically superior and deeply personal dishes, with the utmost respect for his ingredients. Unrestrained by traditional conventions, he believes that care, excitement and dedication can be both felt and tasted.

Followed by Chef Jonathan Zandbergen, who will be hosting a series of exclusive dining events at Soneva Fushi & Soneva Jani from July 10 to 25, 2023.

With over 20 years of experience in Michelin-starred restaurants and cooking competitions, Zandbergen has created his own unique style of Dutch cuisine, inspiring people from all over the world through his culinary streaming platform, CHEFFD.

Find Your True Self at SOUL Festival

To conclude the summer and further enrich your mind, body and soul, Soneva Fushi will be hosting the first-ever SOUL Festival from September 29 to October 8, 2023.

A collaboration between Soneva and ORGANIC INDIA, SOUL is a life-enriching festival with a purpose, that offers a verdant space to move, eat, explore and be creative, while celebrating ancient healing traditions and modern innovations that benefit individuals, communities and the planet.

The festival will present experiential workshops, healing rituals, daily panel discussions, one-on-one consultations and more, with a global line-up of visionaries, thought leaders and wellness pioneers.
